"Mission part III," by Ever-G, is chillin', positive music that will sooth any soul. Every song is a high quality product both in production, instrumentation, and overall substance. The album consists of a reggae feel.The comforting recognizable groove is what makes Ever-G's music so captivating. One of the best songs on the album is track number three, "My Queen." This song had a wonderfully positive message about a man telling his woman, " if you wanna be my queen, you must love yourself." This song is touching on the importance of self respect, self-esteem, and holding yourself to a high standard. It is a message that more of us should apply to our daily lives. LOVE YOURSELF! Though it is difficult to pick a favorite, track eight is one of the number ones. We need more songs like ," Teach Us To Love," on the radio. This song reminds us how to live, and what to live for. If we made a list of adjectives to describe this album they would be: spiritual, positive, soothing, wise, loving, humble, genuine, grateful, memorable, peaceful, feel-good, relatable, passionate, musical, and inspiring. There is not a single song on the album that was not enjoyable and touching in some form. Thank you Ever-G, for your words of peace, for the beautiful instrumentation, and the openness of your heart to share your spirit with others. Staump.com highly recommends "Mission," to anyone who is looking for peace and reflection! Link |
Everett G. Streete, aka EVER-G was born in the small district of Cash-Hill, Hanover Parish, Jamaica. He was singing at age 4 and playing the guitar at 15. A scholarship took EVER-G to Rusea’s High school at age 12. He was performing with the school band by 16 as the lead vocalist. In college, he was lead vocalist for the band – he played the guitar and keyboards as well.
G was fortunate to do his first recording at Bob Marley's Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, JA. At this time he was the front man for the band "Children of Jah". In 1984, EVER-G migrated to the U.S. leaving his family and JA behind, but took with him his talent and skills as a singer and musician. He landed and resided on the East Coast. Shortly after his arrival, he joined a prominent Reggae group in Washington DC as a rhythm guitarist and background vocalist.
His Influences include: Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, Bob Marley, Bunny Wailer as well as Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions. G was intrigued by The Impressions positive & conscious lyrics as well as their intricate harmonies. Although he was influenced by these great Icons, EVER-G has formulated his own true style of sophisticated sound. His growth as an artist continued, as he started to get involved in writing, arranging and producing his own songs.
You can expect an album “The Best of EVER-G” sometime soon. G has independently recorded and produced 4 CDs – they are “World Peace”, “Independence”, “Mission” and the seasonally pushed Christmas CD titled Christmas Mood. A collaboration CD with Female / Male up and coming Artists like Chatta, Best Dancehall Female of Canada '08, will enhance his sound, talents as Producer, Arranger, Singer, Musician (guitar, keyboards), and Performer.
EVER-G is focused on promoting himself and his music on the web along with physical and digital distribution. His 4 CDs all containing positive, uplifting lyrics have gotten rave reviews. Those who appreciate real Roots, Reggae consciousness are his followers. EVER-G's message of Jah, Family, Peace and Love of Life come through in the powerful sounds of his music.
EVER-G’s Band ”The Ruff Kut Crew" is: EVER-G, Lead Vocals, three backup singers collectively known as “ The Irieites”, 4 veteran musicians who have traveled the world and played with some of the biggest names in Reggae music.

- Best of EVER-G and collaboration CD To give you a glimpse of a few of EVER-G’s songs and their Message:
WORLD PEACE - Something that we all want and need desperately is expressed in this song.
JAH CREATOR AND FATHER – Jah is always there to guide, protect and take care of us.
MISS BEAUTIFUL - Tells the story about his Mom's love; she would always tell him to be strong and follow his dreams.
LIFE - The precious thing we all deal with each and every day.
TAKE A LOOK - Calls to remind us of the small, magical wonders that Mother Nature provides all around us every day.
WHAT’S UP WITH THE WORLD? – With so much chaos and strife around these days,
EVER-G poses the question and then reposes it with an interesting twist, What’s up with humanity? (Maybe the world is just fine.)
MY QUEEN – The basic requirements for an upful match for G:“An upful, conscious woman is truly a blessing to a Man.
If you wanna be my queen, you have to love Jah Jah, and if you wanna be my queen you have to know yourself;
if you want to be my queen you have to respect yourself; and if you wanna be my queen, you have to love yourself…”
